Possibile Deleated Scene (Spoilers)
I wonder if JJ Abrams would put this in because i would really love to see it.

I too wanted a bit more Kid Kirk, I would have taken a shortened car chase with the inclusion of some of that footage.. but I see the choice to trim the fat. I cant see JJ or any director removing something from the film that makes it not flow, and the movie did flow just fine with what was shown.
The good news is Im sure the DVD release will have some very enticing items which will extend the excitement of this all...

i think the scene is as good as it is already because if you saw them get all destroyed it would take away abit of the element of surprise when the enterprise comes out of warp to a huge debris field
