Wow! You all made my day! To quote another man named Scotty, "Ye brout a tear to me eye", OK here is my update. The trial pain pump was a smashing success! The problem is when they inserted the lead tube, they nicked the sack that holds the spinal fluid and as a result, I have to lie flat on my back until Monday when they will fix it. I begged them to fix it now, because when your spinal fluid is low, it's like you can feel your brain bumping into the sides of your skull. Very painful. The only relief is to lie very flat. This is my first day I was able to get back online. Anyway, becasue they are implanting the real pump on Monday, they made me wait until then to get that problem fixed. I am feeling more human with each passing day, and oh yes, I am out of the hospital! That always feels good! Thanks so much for the prayers and good thoughts, they all meant a lot to me. It is good to be back!!!!!

Sincerely,
Scott

Im sorry to hear that about your spinal fluid I can't imagine what that feels like. We'll keep you in our thoughts and this thread near the top.

HELLO Fellow Treksters! I just wanted to give you an update and put this thread to bed for good!! I am home, the surgery went great, and the headache is gone!!! I now have my painpump, it is doing a great job, I am now on a third less medicine than before, and it is working better! I haven't felt this good in 18 months. Yes I know the pain is just masked and I still have to watch it, but I am feeling great now! I now get to go to the movies a few times weekend!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE PRAYERS AND GOOD THOUGHTS!!! Peace & Long Life!!!

Scott

Thanks, I will. My elderly Mom came up for a few days and I kept feeling like getting up to see about her, she kept telling me to sit down. She went home this morning and the TV is set on SciFi for the 2 day Star Trek marathon!!! in 5 hours and 10 minutes, I will be watching Star Trek on the big screen!! I can't believe it is here!
