But that huge?? Even if the kelvin were designed to carry more people than a Constitution class starship, would it's saucer section be 3 or 4 times larger? Galaxy class starships probably carry more people than the Kelvin, and I doubt thay would look that big compared to the 1701 in this shot.

Could this be the remains of an outpost? Remember we have seen space stations that have saucer sections attached to a central sphere.

whatever ship it is it didn't last to long against nero. nero is NOT a miliatry Commander so i don't think he's that smart. when the time comes that he has to face kirk we will see the true nero that is not powerful. I can see the Enterprise dominating this battle.
