Default SPOILER: Variety Review Question

I know there has already been a thread started on this, but I wanted to post this question without having to put it and every answer in spoiler tags:

Exile to an ice planet, Delta Vega, enables Kirk to do some inadvertent time-traveling and meet an older version of Spock (Leonard Nimoy, in much more than a brief cameo), a happenstance that complicates matters on the space-time continuum.

Kirk does some inadvertant time travel? Is this a misprint? Any thoughts?

I know. The Countdown storyline clearly shows Spock & the Narada heading back in time.....

I was just wondering if JJ could be throwing us a curveball? And if so, how would it work? Would it make sense?

I think it's a failure to write well....I've seen Harry Potter articles that claim Accio is the death curse....

Inadvertant time travel? That sounds like something from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - remember Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged? Maybe Kirk had an accident with a hair dryer and a deflector dish which was modified to emit tachyon pulses!

Reviews written by non-trekkies will always have these types of silly mistakes.

Don't take them too seriously.
