1. To up the ante when daring someone to do something. 2. The ultimate of dares, one that you cannot refuse. Typically used by children), to see this phrase in context check out the film "A Christmas Story."

Same here. From what I've read it is not as Dallas-like as people have claimed but still very dramatic and much less action than BSG. Certainly a different direction but in a good way.
