The first 10 minutes (Kelvin vs Narada) is the best action scene in the whole movie.
So don't expect anything else to top that for the rest of the movie runtime.

In fairness, a couple of reviews have mentioned that they felt the opening ten mins (which suggests the 12 mins thing Pike spoke of may play in relative real time) sequence is one the film doesn't quite top.
Despite a supposedly impressive starship battle at the end!!

Playing in real time! That would be quite interesting considering that line of Pike's, the 'twelve minute' line. It'd be one hell of a twelve minutes I say!
Reviews I've read said the Kelvin battle eclipses the climax of the film, the final battle with Nero so taking a bit a way from the film's ultimate climax they say. Well, we'll see.

Well, it might be close (12 mins in Pike's dialogue vs ten mins on film - not far off!) to real time!!

To be honest, with the action in M:I:III Abrams peaked at about halfway through with the bridge as well.

I'm a huge fan of space battles. I love seeing phasers fly everywhere and torpedo impact explosions. I'm hoping the final battle scene really shows off what the Enterprise can do. So far I think the final battle in Nemesis has been the best movie space battle, even better than TWOK.
