Do you really think that the next Batman film will be better than The Dark Knight? Honestly, I highly doubt it's going to be. I mean, just like with Spider-Man 3 being a total dissapointment (Peter Parker going emo...I think not) the upcoming Batman flick will not be as good as the Dark Knight. I mean, sometimes movie producers/directors get cocky after making a great film and then making a sequel out of it. I mean, here are perfect examples:
Spider-Man 3 Resident Evil: Extinction The Godfather Part III etc. I mean, of course there is going to be a new Batman...and maybe it will be better than Dark Knight, but I'm not holding any expectations.

It could be. You won't see the Joker again in any of Nolan's films, but there's plenty more villains left in Batman's rogues gallery, and plenty of talent left in the ranks of today's actors and actresses to make them come alive. As good as "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" were, I'd count on the next Batman film being something well worth the ticket price and a bag of popcorn. I have little doubt of that.

I think that the team will be aware that TDK success was a very rare thing - it wasn't flawless anyway, but it was guilty of the rare problem of trying to do and say too much rather than too little.
I'd suggest they don't set out to top it - they'll only fail. But concentrate on where the characters were at the end, where that may lead them and then fashion the story around that.

I read they were thinking of getting Johnny Depp for the villain... whichever one that could be. He plays some really good offbeat roles and could do for some villain what Ledger did for Joker.

Maybe Eric Bana as Mr Freeze.

Quote:
Catwoman would be great, but difficult to cast. Whoever play's her has to be believable as a lithe cat-burglar and a martial artist. I can't think of one actor who could be a believable Penguin in Nolan's Bat-universe, and not invite ridicule.

I missed some Batman, because I think some of it's scene are boring.

It is "rumored", since Christian Bale seems to hate the spotlight and keeps making a total *** of himself, that his Terminator Co-Star Sam Worthington may be the next Batman.
But, the Dark Knight was good, but it was not the great feature people say it is. It had so many slow parts, more than Watchmen. |
