I guess it's not romulan, but vulcan! After all, the T'Plana Hath was designed to resemble the Asteroidea look, which are also living in the sea... and romulan design never looked like anything but birds.

Post AA's not all that good either

Sorry but the AA/DST stuff isn't all that great either. At least PM gave us TOYS that could be posed and played with. The AA/DST items are too big [so glad to see a 3.75" line this time around], sculpts were not dead on either [just look at how bad the Dr. Crusher figures are] and worst of all they do not stand on their own and AA/DST refused to listen to requests for a stand saying the small peg hole ruined the articultaion [yet they did add a stand for the Orion Woman figure whose delicate feet would have proven them right is that truly was the reason]. Playmates will give us back the toys that can be removed from their plastic prisons and played with.

IMHO these are going to be great!

Post NY Toy Fair Reveals no PM Trek

an alien ship (looks like an octopus)
a transporter room playset w/ red floor

Is anyone else really excited that playmates is going in big with Star Trek again?
I cannot wait to get my hands on these! But since the movie date was moved back they pulled any toys being shown at NY Toy Fair. So we still will not be seeing what these promised toys will look like until next year!

For my taste the AA/DST stuff was better than the Playmates stuff all the way around.

So where are the pictures of these prototypes?

No one has seen pics because there aren't any pics. In some Toy Fair booths, no cameras or even cell phones are allowed to keep things underwraps. They did this with some Star Wars toys back in the day.

The first photos will either be released directly from Playmates or by a very good ninja with a hidden spy camera...
