Forget the tomatometer, I've seen plenty of movies on that site rated less than 50,40,30% that were really cool. On the other hand I've seen highly rated movies which SUCKED..for ME. Don't watch th grades, just see it for yourself and have your own opinion.

I learned all I needed to know when Nimoy enthusiastically signed on to this script. I don't care about reviews or reports in the trades. I'm going to be there at midnight, sitting in my seat with my Coke and my Sno-Caps and having the time of my life.

I may see it within the first week, schedule permitting...

Unless the buzz from Trek fans is THAT big that I find the need to go sooner.

That's because the Tomatometer is voted upon by pompous asses who think they have a better taste in movies than John Q. Public.

one of the problems today is the fact that anyone can post a review about anything without regard to personal opinions.i believe that if you're on this site,just go see the film yourself and make your own judgement thereafter.don't allow someone else to tell you what you may or may not like.

I know John Q. Public--seen his DVD collection--and you're wrong. The critics know what's up.

Not to say good ole John Q. can't like what he likes, only that the critics know a lot more about film and have a broader framework for critiquing cinema (well, the good ones do, anyway).

I will be going to see it regardless of reviews. No review or tomatometer rating will keep me from seeing any Trek movie!

You know...Me too! It's as if they can't review the film like a normal film critic.
