Well why don't we get back to the thread. Star Wars was good, but this is a Star Trek forum so most people will agree with the statement that Trek is their preference. It is rather obvious.

Yes, but 'how' did we come to choose Trek over Wars?
Here's my story.

My parents rented all the Trek movies(at the time, only five were made) and
all three Wars movies and let me watch them. (Because they saw I had
interest in sci-fi at the age of 9 and were good enough to let me develop
them.) So, after watching all those movies, I somehow liked Star Trek
better. Then never watched Star Wars again, up until last year when the
significant other made me watch them with him. I still fell asleep.

Cool

What's there to argue? Star Wars is just a futuristic pardoy of most Greek/Roman stories about honnor, good and bad, and the like. Star Trek, as the good Doctur said, is a opnimisic vison of the future, with a few pardoys sewn through out, though not enough to give the story an overwelmigly dull, "hey, I've heard this story before" kind of feeling. Oh, and Star Trek is more realistic (from a Nerds point of view!) So there! My opionion...and bad spelling.

I'm more accurately described as a sci fi fan not just a trek fan...and plus...star wars sucks right now and it will into the foreseeable future. Lucas did a worse job than berman did with enterprise...He botched 3 awesome movies in the prequels and the's doing little about it...nor does he care...

I'm more of a puddle jumper.

Ha! Puddle Jumper. Is that in reference to Stargate? That was a good bit, I thought.

In order
From most to less "I like":

1. DEEP SPACE NINE!
Next Generation
Empire Strikes Back
Voyager
New Hope
Attack of the Clones
Enterprise
Original Star Trek
Phantom Menace
Return of the Jedi
Revenge of the Sith

...Although not concrete-set in that order. Only that DS9 is best and Sith is worst.
