Killing Spock twice would be a big mistake. Aside from the emotional wrenching, the focus is supposed to be on the new cast and killing off Nimoy's character would take away from that, apart from being so unnecessary to the plot. An don't give me this "passing the torch" business- what they did in Generations was bad enough. I would have hoped they would have learned something from that.

Pass the torch?
Well Spock could be lit on fire like one and take the place of chair-bound Pike. Ain't that a kick-in-the-pants solution? Off to Talos IV and Spocko has all his fantasies catered to. Slash fans will go crazy.

I think this is a highly likey scenario. We could see Spock die at some point in the movie, even if the time line is restored later, though I think that would be unlikely.

I don't think I could take watching Spock die a second time... I still cry when I see that scene from TWOK.
