Loved Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis and as much as I want this one to succeed I have my doubts that it will ever get to season 4.

I think it'll be a miracle if it makes it to Season 2... From what I've read at Gateworld, it's shaping up to be a space-opera and very character-driven. Can you say BSG? I really didn't like that show so if this is the model that SGU was made after, then I'm not interested. But then again, if the writing is solid enough, maybe the BSG crowd will be interested and they're the ones who will keep the show alive.
I will give it a shot, out of curiosity but I'm really not sure I'll stick around for very long.

I like Original Recipe. Didn't care for Extra Crispy, now this new one looks like Kentucky Grilled. No thanks. I'll just watch the old episodes (Jack) when I can get them.

I am actually looking forward to it, love Stargate, never got into SGA even tho I heard a lot of good things about it,but the couple of times I tired, was kinda lost, needed to watch it from the first season I guess, so don't wont to repeat that mistake again.

I can't fathom SGA's cancellation.
  will there be DVD movies?  the Shepard/McKay relationship was fantastic.

I doubt that. From what i've read in teh Stargate mag. they are waiting for SGU to start before starting to film the SGA movie and 3rd SG1 movie.
