I have a question: how did you remove the background so you can post it anywhere without a box showing as the background?

I think that transparency is a option when you create a GIF file, I never saw a GIF file for web use which did not have that feature.

All that happens is a little box pops up and says saving as a GIF may cause loss of color.

And GIF always results in a loss of colour, I wouldn't worry too much.

But as long as there is no background colour at the time of saving then it should stay transparent...

Add an alpha Layer under layers.
paste your other layers on top.

Save as gif or png.
