Boy my work hours are WACK! Trying to catch up when most of you all are at work or asleep is nuts. But you're good people, so here I go again!

This is a little disappointing. And alarming. It's usually a bad sign when they show way too much in a movie. Like they're trying to show all the good parts while the rest suck. Or it just means that, "if you think this is good, you aint seen nothing yet."

But they practically give away deaths. And that's just not done.
Betting that you've seen all of the trailers that are out there, and even counting the Super Bowl ad (even though most of it we've already seen), you've seen just over 4 1/2 minutes of a 2 hour and 20 minute movie.

There is plenty that we have heard that is going to be in the movie that we have not seen yet. Calm down....

To be fair, my friend called me after seeing the trailer and had the same fears, but after I pointed out the above, he was fine. I think it's probably just a knee-jerk reaction to seeing more than you thought you would.

And the only deaths we know for certain from the trailer is Kirk's father. As was pointed out, Pike isn't mentioned as "dead", and Nimoy talked about being in future movies (and so have the writers).

Anybody remember the trailer for TUC? The scene they showed us with Kirk getting vaporized by a phaser blast? Nimoy in the TNG episodes "Unification" stating that he was responsible for what happened to Captain Kirk on that mission? Everyone was thinking that Kirk was going to die.

And being that this is science fiction, death is not a certainty. As Spock famously said "I've been dead before"!

Hubba-wha???
MigueldaRican, don't do it! If you don't see the movie in the theater, you'll be saying, "Dang it! Why didn't I go?" when all of your friends are talking about it around the water cooler!

-Oh well, that's alright then.

Looks like the Klingons and the Feds have more in common than we thought...

Do you know if there any other previews besides Munich, lets say a few miles west im Ländle?

It's Mathäser here... check your local theater websites
I'm sure such previews are common in larger cities.

I'm in full agreement. Absolutely wonderful, I just wish the music used in it would have been in the movie. The people who composed that piece should be proud. It's a masterpiece.
