What are your thoughts on how seamlessly (or unseamlessly) STXI merged the world of the new movie with the canon of TOS? As far as the ships, it seems they did fine. I thought they did very well with the uniforms--kind of a cross between the uniforms of TOS and the uniforms in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. That was arguably the hardest aspect of the STXI world to integrate without the uniforms looking cheesy. I thought the costume designer did an excellent job.

It seems to be mostly the Enterprise in contention, but visually I'm very pleased with 'the look' of the whole film. The Uniforms are bang on, the other ships and sets (the Academy, the big hangar shot) show TOS like touches in design.

Kevin: I agree with you. They did seem to incorporate a lot of the design aspects of the original TOS set designer, Walter Jeffries.
