There's a new conquest game coming out? Or are you talking about
the one that came out in December?

If it's the one from December, I'll just repost what I posted in another
thread.

"I have only played this on the PS2, because it's cheaper, but very
freakin' fun! If you've ever played Risk, and liked it, you'll love this
game. Also, it's a bit like Monopoly, because you go around conquering
planets, and you earn money, especially if you 'buy' a mine for your
planets to earn more money. You need money for ships, structures, etc.
Also, if you build research facilities instead, you can upgrade everything
faster and acquire special weapons before the other races do.

You can choose to be Federation, Breen, Dominion, Romulans, Klingons
and Cardassians and play against all of them in a turn based sequence.
They each have their own unique weaknesses and strong points. They
also use actual admirals/commanders from the TNG/DS9 series for each race.

I have been way obsessed with this game for the past couple of months
because you can conquer as each race, unlock new races and worlds
in the 'skirmish' mode such as Xindi and Borg. I've already beaten this
game as much as I could in the least amount of turns that I'm able to do
so with.

One last quirk, you can either 'simulate' each battle and lose ships faster, ha,
or arcade each battle, and be a total badass. "

I thought cow man and chessmess were the same person at first glance!

Quote:
The Cardassians with their 2 movement Admirals are quickly becoming my favorite. Their voice work is the worst in terms of writing - they perpetually give damage reports that don't reflect reality. Dukat and Damar appear.
I love the Cardie's...I beat all five races as them in only 4 turns using only the two
movement specialists...I never sim unless there's no choice for arcade.

Quote:
The Dominion adheres well to the impressive shipbuilding of the series. Weyoun as movement Admiral is sometimes all you need. The other admirals confuse me, one of the voices is a dead ringer for Keevan but he isn't in the game. And don't get me started on the female voice who makes a passable Vorta when there are no female Vortas in the game!
They're also my favorite race to play as...I actually thought that the female voice for
the Dominion was the Female Changeling, not a Vorta. Even though, she does use Eris'
quote "(they) have no idea what's begun here".

You're certainly right about the Romulans, though. Using them is a challenge.
