I'm a big fan from way back when. I skipped school to see Star Trek IV first showing on opening day. While I'm grateful that the other incarnations of Star Trek have admirably kept the franchise alive for so many years, the original series is the REAL Star Trek for me. I'm psyched for this new movie beyond belief, I feel like I've been waiting decades for it. The trailer and the site both look great, thanks for providing the forum, and it's going to be an exciting few months as the film approaches!

That would be presumption, not factually established in Trek that San Francisco was ever a victim of any of the devastation Trek believes happens in the future.
