Yup, I wonder though, on reflection how they would have spread those storylines out over a multi-year arc. I think Whedon must have had more plans as well, after those stories were settled, but yes the film did have toi rush through them.

You sometimes wonder why FOX starts up any shows at all!

Each unit will be individually assembled and hand painted right here in the U.S. by the FX Company, which makes miniatures for film, television and industry (link below). QMx hasn't yet set a price but I think it will be more than $300.00 but we can hope.

A terrific looking replica! Out of my price range, but a great piece if you're a collector.

I can see how he would have, because not only did he have that story, but he had to very quickly dispel the secrecy surrounding River. I mean, when they left off in the series River was just a traumatised young girl, with strong hints of unusual powers. And Shepherd Book had no backstory at that point, which would have been revealed!

Never getting to the bottom of Book's past was a big shame about the series and obviously not able to be worked into the film either.

Someone on another thread mentioned that Whedon was supposed to be writing a comic book that would cover some of the untold stories of Firefly but I don't think it's near publication.

OK, this is so incredible, I just had to post this latest update. Keep in mind that the bridge insert is only 3 inches long.

Check out the Firefly Serenity wikia; http://firefly.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Also, as best as I can remember correctly what we saw in Serenity would have been revealed in season two.
