Default Teleportation *beam me up*

In this thread we can discuss teleportation in ST and the real world.

As most of you know some breakthroughs have already been made in Austria (University of Innsbruck, Tirol), USA and Denmark.

Here some interesting material to read:

As the esteemed Mr. Spock would say in our time...fascinating! I knew this would happen some day, maybe even in my lifetime...I always thought if one can perceive of something unusual, then one can make it happen....it was only a matter of time before science and technology caught up with the idea/dream....fascinating!

Here is a link to a video on YouTube that talks about real teleportation.

From "Star Trek" to the new sci-fi film "Jumper," we're all familiar with the idea of teleportation. But as this ScienCentral News video explains, scientists are actually doing real teleportation experiments in the lab.

If there are any game freaks here: That's the reason why Gordon Freeman from Half Life has Innsbruck, Austria in his backstory.

Andre Delambre and Seth Brundle attempted Teleportation. What happened to their research?
