One other thing we have to remember is Shran was in hiding, everyone thought he was dead in These Are The Voyages. That would have made it much easier for Shran to have left his people. I think he would have been an 8th crewmember, and I also feel that, given the chance, he would have helped strenthen the ratings. I can think of so many things that could have been explored in Enterprise. How very sad

I really think this would have worked. He lost his ship and would not have got a command back quickly, so he either could serve aboard an Andorian vessel as higher-ranking officer, in the administration (?) as general/admiral ... or he serves under Archer. Sure, those pinkskins might annoy him from time to time, but he has more influence in this job than as any officer on any Andorian vessel.
It would have been consistent for his character and would have been another step towards the forming of the Federation. |

I would have loved to see him as Captain. I certainly would have stuck with it if he was a regular character in any capacity. I have always liked the Andorians and Shran is my favourite and, in my opinion, the best character in Enterprise.

I can imagine Shran grudgingly serving under Archer - really ticked off about it but using it as a means to an end - until he can become a captain again. Of what vessel I don't know. Kinda like Trekki, I think that would be an great dynamic. |
