I've only read Imzadi and it was great! What other books are really good?

The best in my Opinion is the Mirror Universe Series, it's brand new,
The ones that are currently out are Glass Empires and Obsidian Alliances,

I loved his novelizations of TOS episodes found in series 1-12 that sated the hunger of material for ST fans in the early 70's. Nice paperback reading

Anything by Peter David, or Dane Carey, or Diane Duane. If you have to choose...

Peter David: Q-in-Law, or Q-Squared. This man gets Q's character so well. And they're hysterically funny.

Diane Carey: Dreadnaught. It's the best "Lower decks" type story I've ever read. And it's written in first-person from a nervous wreck of a cadet, surrounded by legends (i.e, the regular crew). Very unique.

Diane Duane: Spock's World, and The Romulan Way. Vulcan and Romulan historicals, plus intriguing "present-day" (23rd century) plots. Dr McCoy is made of awesome in both books, and if you don't at least get a lump in your throat reading the chapter about Surak, you are made of stone.

Two of my favorite TREK novels would have to be THE PRICE OF THE PHOENIX and THE FATE OF THE PHOENIX....

Well, I have only read one so far but it was good. I read Imzadi and thought Peter David did a terrific job writing it. I want to read all ST books especially any based around TNG or DS9.
