I actually have stalked the wilderness in search of animals, not however to kill them, but to photograph them.
What wilderness have you stalked ..... Sherwood Forest?

In the US we have the freedom to Hunt. we're not blasting birds and setting dogs on foxes. Hunter's here blast bears, bowhunt dear and set dogs on boars then knife them. Father's teach their children how to hunt because the children want to learn and it is tradition in some parts. There are rules and skill is involved.

Here is a link for more US hunting information: http://www.tednugent.com/hunting/

Lastly, you come here and stalk our wilderness with a camera you best have a .45 too. In some areas the bears WILL maul you and the boars WILL gut you.

That is true. I know a few people who flyfish in the Rocky's and they carry weapons with them for protection against Grizzlys. They can be extremely aggressive.

They better be packin' alot of ammo and know how to make speed reloads!! Grizzly bears can take a number of large caliber rounds (from handguns) and still survive. I would carry a hunting rifle near me (I own a .270 short mag) if I were in bear country, a handgun won't cut it alone (but I would carry one too).

Yeah I think it's rifles. Grizzly's are really aggressive so if you run into one out there, it's best to have a way to defend yourself.

It is different carrying a rifle or a handgun (and being willing to use it) to defend yourself from a bear attack, than going out with the sole intention of shooting a bear.
