No notifications are sent out if you add someone to your buddy list. I don't really see the point to it.

have used it but buddies are never on when I am so not sure it works

There are members I put on my buddy list but ...... Nothing. Is something suppose to happen? Does anyone know anything about this whole "buddy" thing?

I use it on other forums. Not so much here. No point when you have the status circles next to peoples names in threads.
