Default Trek screensavers?

Hey folks!

I'm looking around for some kind of Trek screensaver that will mimic Trek style read outs... anyone have links to sites where I could download such a thing?

I found some on this site before...

Sorry, I just checked again and it seems they took them off because of bandwith problems.
I think a couple of them (like System 47) might still work though.

I have a great screen saver called system 47, you can download it from MeWho.com I think you will love it. It also works on multiple monitors as well.

The system 47 one Fordman mentioned is the best.. I've used it since it was beta and it's gotten better every version. Direct link... http://www.mewho.com/system47/

Thanks for the links and the reviews...

Now for the second part: I notice the LCARS site has an entilre file of various TNG sound effects, a short computer voice clips by Majel... now that I've downloaded them, how do I go about setting them as my computer's "Theme" sounds?

I know I can just look this stuff up, but usually things go faster if I just ask someone who has experience.

Well this is different depending on what operating system you use.. in my case it is XP Pro SP3 with 'classic' theme turned on, and would be done thus:

Click 'start' - go to 'settings' - click 'control panel' - double click 'sounds and audio devices' - click 'sounds' tab

From there just highlight the sound event you want to alter... click 'browse' and point to the sound file...
