Isn't this a moot point thread, as the entire cast is signed on for 3 movies to begin with?

I alluded to this in another thread, and for my money: "The Cage" exists only in our world as a failed TV pilot for TREK.

"The Mangerie" exists in the TREK universe for the characters, as well as part of TOS for us.

I fail to see how "The Menagerie" erases "The Cage" in any detail. the only thing changed is that few seconds of film moved so we could see Pike have his illusion. THIRTEEN years after Vina had her illusion of Pike staying.
