Nah, Ferrous nailed it. How long do you have to wait to go see this horrible thing? What are you going to do here until then? I can see it four months in, it'd look like the electronic version of the King Of The Hill characters:

"Yep."

"Yyyyyep."

Boring.

Anyway, fear isn't the path to the dark side. Fear is the path out of danger.

True, but if you spend your entire life avoiding danger because of fear, do you really live?

Me, I figure I'm going to die anyways, so I just say "To hell with it," and charge in. If I live great, if I die, oh well, sucks to be anyone who cares about me.

Okay I'll go with that...but I'll also wager you're not a successful writer.

Otherwise you wouldn't be on this board complaning about someone else's vision for Star Trek....you'd be out there WRITING it.

I am not being critical, as I too do not agree with Saint, but this was kind of a low blow.

I actually wanted to ask Saint if he has any of his own work he trying to publish, maybe a Trek novel?

I can't talk about projects I've ghostwritten.

No you don't actually live. great question and observation. Fight or flight, it's not always flight. Fear can actually be your friend in many ways, if you control it and do not allow IT to control you. That may sound a bit fortune cookie-ish, but it is true.

Then do you have anything not ghost written? doesn't it kind of suck to let someone else take all the credit? Are you working on a Trek Novel you want published under your name?

I do, actually, and have several personally commissioned and published stories for which I retained credit.

Some of the projects I've undertaken, I didn't want credit for.

No. Compared to ghostwritten or even credited mainstream fiction, the pay for Trek novels is pretty low-end, and the reputation within the publishing industry you get from franchise novel credits doesn't translate to better offers.

Saint, Thanks for the info. What about a fan fiction Trek story? We all know how you feel and what your stance's are regarding Trek, but we haven't seen an example of how you would have written, or would write, a Trek story. I actually think you could write an awesome Trek story. Maybe you could do a TOS short story?
