Unconditional love? Hardly. I need to see it to pass judgement. I do have my preconceived notions/concerns/doubts, all of which I will try to eschew by the time the film comes out. Regardless, I am looking forward to it and I will see it.

Unconditional Love? No - not until I have seen it. Afterwards - we'll see, might have to have a second date to be sure!

How about unconditional hate? Someone should start that poll.

Although at times it seems I am "unconditionally" defending this movie, I am NOT. I am truly "on the fence". I like some of what I see and dislike some of it as well. I read JJ's "I didn't get it" line and his want to make it more like Star Wars, and I cringe. Then i read that there were people involved in the writing that ARE Trek fans and Do "get it", and I see that Leonard Nimoy agrees to star in the movie and praises the script (he did refuse to do other movies because of a poor script), so I don't know if I will like this movie or not. Yes, because it is Trek I have a natural bias to believe i will like it. But I will NOT know anything for sure unless I see the movie first.

There ya go!

Just gotta keep the Faith Folks - and SEE THE MOVIE before you give up on it - Crikey!

Jesus - we've only seen 2 trailers. Forget what you read, keep an open mind, wait and see the flick, and then you can hate/diassociate/say-I-told-you-so, etc. ...

But I still say the world, especially ST FANS, old and new, will be praising it on 5/9/09.

What more can a girl ask for? Seriously, I'm really psyched and I can't wait!
Well said my Lady!

All of you know that every one that is a "Trek Fan" will go and see it at least twice to make sure that they are positive they like the movie or not. As for me. Nothing ventured nothing gained ...besides if my boy Kevin Smith gives it a nod...I gots to go see it!

Even if it blows monkey chunks (and I really don't think it will; I expect it to be good), I will find something to like about it. There's always beefcake and special effects!

Just look at some of the other post and you'll find some unconditional hate is already out there. Some because the lack of Shat.

I personally love the characters and can't wait to see how the cast fills some very big shoes. There is a boatload of talent in this film so my hopes are high.

From what I've seen, the FX will be (and have to be in this day and age) worth the ticket.

There have been other Trek projects that lacked a good story but like some other fans I loved them too ...... Just haven't rewatched them as much as the others.

Even if it is great on all fronts it may not be a blockbuster. I hope it is, so more projects will be the works. I'm getting tired of watching re-runs I already own on disc.
