I think that the best bit of casting has been Zachary Quinto. Unfortunately, I just don't see John Cho as Sulu although I'll reserve judgement until I see him in the role. I'm most looking forward to seeing what Simon Pegg does with the role of Scotty as that was the one that caught my eye when it was annouced.

I voted for Nimoy only because he is the only established actor of the series in this type of movie. Pegg and Cho are good in comedy roles. I haven't seen Pine, Saldana or Yelchin in a movie yet. I also think Quinto might actually portray a rather good Spock. But like what has been said, all of the attention is on Pine as he is the lead charachter. I believe he is the one that will either make or break the movie.
