The man was great at what he did. For any author to come up with such amazing ideas, and so many amazing ideas, is astounding. Mr. Chrichton was as unique a writer as Van Gogh was a painter. The literary world has indeed, lost a genius. The Jules Verne of our time.

I was very surprised, obviously as he kept his illness private from the public. However, I've long been a fan of his ideas and the films and television work he was involved in. It's a great shame.

Buffs..he didn't get tested, he didn't know until it was too late. You are not him.

I'm of the opinion that if there is only a 5% chance of surviving a particular cancer, there is no reason at all I cannot be in that 5%.

YOU are not Michael Crichton.
