The man was great at what he did. For any author to come up with such amazing ideas, and so many amazing ideas, is astounding. Mr. Chrichton was as unique a writer as Van Gogh was a painter. The literary world has indeed, lost a genius. The Jules Verne of our time.

I was very surprised, obviously as he kept his illness private from the public. However, I've long been a fan of his ideas and the films and television work he was involved in. It's a great shame.

THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN is still an amazing piece of work today. Crichton won't be forgotten any time soon.

Buffs..he didn't get tested, he didn't know until it was too late. You are not him.
I'm of the opinion that if there is only a 5% chance of surviving a particular cancer, there is no reason at all I cannot be in that 5%. YOU are not Michael Crichton.
