An exerpt from "Australia, The Motion Picture".

Captain: Well Bob, we've finally landed in Australia, a bright land of promise and hope. Take a landing party out and scout the land and report back to me.
Bob: Aye sir.

(Three weeks later.)
Captain: Well Bob, good to see you shipmate, now give me your report about the great land of Australia, what did you see first?
Bob: The beach sir, there's sand on it.
Captain: Good! Great start Bob, but that's kind of a given isn't it? What did you see next?
Bob: We saw the Outback sir.
Captain: The..... Uh....Outback?
Bob: Yes sir, it's a vast expanse of hard, tough unimaginably brutal territory filled with croc's, poisonous snakes, deadly spiders and bizarre marsupial mammals.
Captain: Sounds tough Bob, but i imagine the majority of us will survive to get past it if we're smart tough and careful. Now Bob, tell me what you found after that? What wonderful, exciting, wonderous, natural marvel did you find after that terrible Outback?
Bob: The other beach, Captain.

Baz Luhrman's movies are better on the small screen, I think. It's horrible to watch in the cinema for people (like me) who sometimes have issues with sensory overload. But on the small screen it's better.

...But he used to live next door to my auntie so I have to say nice things about him.

I like Moulin Rouge. And I reckon it'll be good when this one (Australia) comes out on DVD.
