Will XI be the best movie of 2008?
There are a lot of high profile movies coming out this year such as Dark Knight, Indiana Jones 4, Quantum of Solice (007) etc. Who thinks that Star Trek will beat them? Will XI be the best movie of 08?

Because of the high profiles Trek is not gonna be the best. But I do believe, at least, the best of end 2008.
As I said before Trek hase to proof itself agian to the general public, wich I think it will!

Yeah, best of the fall movie season.. but not of the year. That'll be The Dark Knight.

Hopefully, it will rule the christmas holiday season, but I think Bond will do a lot. Don't know though...

Trek's got a lot riding on it. If it sux we won't see another movie for DECADES!!! and we'll have nothing but books to rely on.
So, will it be the best, nah...but it better be good. I'm hoping for the best.

I think Indy will overshadow in the Box Office, but Trek will be BETTER...

Indy should be the fiercest competition because it has been 17 years since we have seen and indy movie and only 6 since the last Trek movie, if I'm not mistaken. Batman might also do well since Ledger died and people will want to see his last film. Bond may also do well, but it is a sequel stemming from a successful reboot. I hope Trek does well though.

Somehow, I doubt it. As much as I would like it to be, there will always be some movie that "appeals to a broader fanbase and thus makes more money." But that doesn't mean Star Trek XI won't kick some serious butt in the box office!

Trek, at this stage, does look set to be the one to watch as far as the Christmas season is concerned. It would be naive to turn around and say, of course it's going to win out over all others, but I am confident this will turn a few heads come 25.12.08! :-D
