USS Excelsior... except about 50 years on when the type is antiquated. I would illegally acquire it from mothball state and refit it for private use as a pirate/mercenary ship operating for profit on the fringes of Federation space.
Though occassionally I'd pull the Federation's arse out of the fire, because I'm a sort of anti-hero type of Captain - not altogether bad.
