That's have been unseasonable cool (and comfortable!) in SoCal, or at least my area. Hadn't heard it was going to heat up again... darn!

Enough of summer, time for some semblance of autumn here.

On the brighter side, we're having a perfect fall out in the northeast - crisp nights, warn days. The only problem is that the trees are usually around 50% color by now up in the mountains and I just drove through the Berkshires today and it's MAYBE 10%. The ski resorts are pooping themselves too - we used to get tons of snow and now we get about 3 bad storms. Weird.

See, the northeast is the prefect place to be: no earthquakes, volcanos, tornadoes, tidal waves, fires, mudslides, and only minor flooding. (OK, we get a little tornado every 10 years or so.)

We complain about the snow and ice just to keep everyone from moving here. Shhhhhh.
