I'm thumbing through Harper's Bazaar the other day, and come across an article about Laura Bush. Nothing heavy, just some photos of her in some nice dresses. But, the last picture was so cool I had to call my hubby in to look at it too.

There was Mrs. Bush, in the White House, holding a hard cover Harry Potter book in her lap and smiling from ear to ear. Call it what you will, but I think it was a not-too-subtle show of support against people who want to ban books they disagree with.

Laura's a peach...I sort of hate the fact that the political system dictated that HE was the one who got to be the candidate.

She's in favor of abortion rights, she was a librarian so is all over the right to read any book you want...she's got a doofus for a husband, but lots of women have that burden...

I don't know why, but the Bush men sure do marry great women...
