You have brought back fond memories. Starlog magazine came out in 1976 and with it we followed the progress of the latest Sc-Fi movies. Starlog was all we had back then and served us well.

I started buying Starlog from 1979 to the early '90s, there in my closet right now. Since there was no Internet back then you got photos and interviews of upcoming science-fiction movies, books and videos. I also collected Fangoria magazines as well.

I first found Starlog with issue #3...used to be THE place outside of Mediascene Preview to get info on upcoming Sci Fi films and tv shows...
They also had their sister magazine Future for a while... Anyone remember OMNI, the science and sci-fi mag that was put out by Penthouse?

They had such major coverage of ST:TMP when it came out...I remember when they ran the first ad, the one that used the painting of the Phase II [i]Enterprise[i] in it...

My first issue of Starlog was #7. I am still a subscriber to the magazine and still have every issue-much to the dismay of my wife! I still enjoy the magazine completely.
Why I haven't thrown any issue out, I have no clue! Nor do I know what to do with them! |
