Default 'Making of' books
When will we get 'making of' and tech books for this film? I love those. Anybody heard anything?

Yeah - I was actually thinking about that right after seeing the movie. Don't they usually release these books to coincide with the release of the movie?

Thanks! I'm so happy to be immersed in Star Trek again. It feels like the late 80's again, and I'm watching the first episodes of TNG. YAY!

The novelization is already out, if I'm not mistaken.

I trust that a few "Making of..." books will appear soon.

LOL!!! I started a thread with this same subject some weeks or months ago. I know they will have a "making of"featurette on the DVD release but I wish they had done a "making of" book with a lot of production stills, etc.

Those books don't have a big market but they can be big trade books and command a pretty good penny. At fifteen or twnty bucks a copy even just fifty thousand copies is decent money.

I love those books. I think paramount was hoping for the best buy expecting the worst. Nemesis bombed, and enterprise the series didn't end on a high note. I love our new universe and would love books! A series of USS Kelvin novels would be exciting. More about the alien I have as my avatar would be cool! I feel like I did when I was 8 getting hooked on TNG.

Yeah, very cool alien that one. When the books do come out I hope their quality is comparable to the film. I just don't want to have to wait till Christmas. I want 'em now!

Eh. I'll pick them up like have all the other "making of" books... used. (It usually takes a bout a year for them to start showing up.) About the only one I won't wait on is the issue of Cinefex that deals with the movie. I buy that regularly anyway.
