Should we have it used in XI like in TUC? I personally think they went overboard with it in that movie but isn't Star Trek modern day Shakespeare being told?

Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in their mouths as household words, James T the king,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.

No, only because it's been done already. Maybe something Roman would be fitting

Shall I compare thee to an Andorian winter?
Thou art more freezing and chilling to the bone. |

It is now the very witching time of night
When Romulans sleep and the wormhole itself breathes out tachyons to this world Now could I drink hot brandy and lay with Orions whom during bitter day I would quake to look onto. |

That's a good one!I think it's okay to reference the Bard once or twice in the new movie. Shakespeare and other classics certainly are a staple of Trek past, so it definitely wouldn't be out of place. "O heart, lose not thy nature, let not ever the soul of Nero enter this firm bosom." Or some enthusiastic Klingons on the field of battle! "Hark! I hear their drum. Fight, warriors of Kahless! Fight, bold yoemen! Draw, archers, draw your ba'thlets to the head! Spur your proud targs hard, and ride in blood; amaze the pe'tak with your broken staves!"
