Default Return of the "UFO Invader"

Hooray! It looks like Polar Lights is going to be reissuing the "UFO Invader" model kit this summer. Some of you may know this kit as the "U.S.S. Leif Erickson" A ship originally designed by Matt Jeffries (the same man who designed the TOS Enterprise, the Klingon D-7, the Romulan Warbird, the Botony Bay, etc., etc.

I'm personally geeked up about this kit, since it was one of the first ships I ever built, and tried to use for 8mm special effects.

Looks like it's going to be the slightly stripped down version of the kit, and will be issued in the original GITD plastic, with reproduction artwork of the original box on the packaging. Too cool!
