Default Speaking of Reboots...

Seen the new Terminator: Salvation trailer???

Christian Bale's a busy man - monopolizing 2 iconic movie characters these days.

No Arnold, but there is reportedly an Arnold lookalike, Roland Kickinger, taking the role of the first Series 800 Model 101.

I knew arnie wasn't going to be in it, but they could at least morph his face onto a dozen or so units, how easy is that these days.

Shouldn't be difficult. It's also been rumored that although he won't appear in it live-action, he may or may not have his voice dubbed over Kickinger's for the T-800 which -- also according to rumor -- is the same one sent back to kill Sarah in the first film.

I think it'll probably be a decent action flick, but I prefer the first two. The third was entertaining but really doesn't do much for me beyond having some attention diverting carnage.

I don't know about Bale as Connor -- it's been long enough they could just as easily have had Nick Stahl back, who I thought did an excellent job in T3, not least because his voice and look made him believable as Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton's kid.

It surprises me to read on some Terminator forums that people are surprised by the changes to the post J-Day setting; "changing the future" has been a central theme throughout the first three films, with both the good guys and bad guys actively fighting to do just that. Changes to the future from one film to the next have been done creatively and skillfully, and are an acknowledged part of what's going on each time.

Do you think that's likely to happen? If anyone nailed the "science fiction for everyone from the half-wit jock to the socially crippled nerd" theme, it was James Cameron.

i like james cameron,he is brilliant-talented director,if this trailer is impressive then terminator fans must see the trek trailer to understand the definition of impressive , T2 days are long passed and i think its time to shut down skynet once and for all
