So, any opinions about either the movie, or the series SG1 or SGA? Do ya like it? Hate it? Don't know what I'm talkin' about?

I watched seasons 1-7 of SG1 and the pilot of SGA. Saw the movie at cinema
What annoyes me is the fact that SG1 "stole" some things from Trek (Goa'uld = Trill, God idea = Apollo, Gliders = BoP,...)

Oh well i like Stargate. And they have stolen more things. Q and the Holodoc ok just the actors. Was fun to see them there.

I like the Stargate movie better. (The series is ok too, though) I just couldn't get past the whole "Hang on didn't Dr Jackson stay on the planet and how come he now looks completely different and... argh!!!" ... um.... thing.

the movie's a riotous comedy movie, I nearly got thrown out of the cinema for giggling all the way through it. I loved the series though, much better and less preachy and better science too

Stargate was quite a good series but it's not quite as imaginative as Star Trek.
