The movie that practically everyone talks about since it's release in 1999 was finally seen by me earlier today. I must say, I did enjoy it, however, I was not that impressed with it. There are some funny jokes here and there, but not all that memorable. I just thought it was going to be better, but that is probably because of all the hype from people. My expectations were actually quite high. But, with experience if I go see a film with low expectations, I tend to enjoy it much more. That was my problem with Prometheus and Star Wars: Episode I when I saw them. I had such high expectations.

It's one of the most painfully (unfortunately) accurate observations of office worker life, and I say that as someone who has worked in such an environment.
I can say I've worked with someone like almost everybody in that office in that film. The hypno stuff - not so much. But it's on the money nature is why I like it so much.

The movie rocks! Been thinking about seeing it again. Got it on DVD, somewhere amidst the hundreds of other titles I have.

I have it on DVD myself, I probably have seen it over 50 times. When I first saw it, I never really liked it, but then somehow, it grew on me, and now its one of my favorite movies. Also, my dad looks EXACTLY LIKE Milton, with the glasses and mustache and all.

This is one of those movies that I've never watched from beginning to end, but have probably seen the whole thing piece by piece.

Admittedly, it is a movie you kinda have to be in the mood for, but when you are in the mood for it, it's quite the payoff.
![]() Got some great quotables too: MILTON: I -- I t'ink someone 'tole my 'tapler! "You've been missing a lot of work lately." "Well, I wouldn't say I've been missing it." And one of the best: "Someone's got a case of the Mondays." ![]()

I once worked for a TGI Fridays in my younger days, and the line about how the Nazi's had flair that they made the jews wear always got me. You have to work in one of those places to truly appreciate that joke!

The TGI Fridays scenes were some of the best in that movie!
