Default Total Recall: The new version

As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker begins to suspect that he's a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he's on.

Looks like a cross between Fifth Element, Blade Runner and a hundred other representations of the future…

It'll probably do okay.

They should leave that movie alone.

From what I heard, no Mars at all. How can you do Total Recall without Mars?

Well, I guess it's not a true remake in the sense that it's a completely new story which just uses the main premise from the original.

They just want the brand recognition that goes with the name. That's what all of these remakes are really about.

As with Dune, I expect there will have been too many adaptations for there to exist one that isn't in some way compromised.

The previous Total Recall could have been a great movie, perhaps if not for the Schwarzenegger/Verhoeven factor.

I never saw it. And it seems there's still no real way to; if you missed it you missed it.
