Which Star Trek Series had the best finale? Obviously TOS didn't really have one, but I've included it anyway in case you really liked that episode.
My favorite would have to be DS9's. It made me cry, and it had some great drama.

I would have to agree with that. The DS9 finale with Jake looking out the window while they did the long draw back still gets to me.
I would say that the Voyager series ending was my second favorite. When they emerged from the exploding Borg sphere and Janeway gave an amazed and humble "we did it" it felt like they earned it. But the fact that they ended it there still bothers me. Another episode showing their arrival and celebration would have been a better closure as they all tearfully parted for the final time! |

The start was promising, they didn“t get earlier to earth, they were all old, some died. I thought that was the only logical thing that could have happened. But no, Janeway had to purchase some Timemachine from some Klingon and travel through time again....my god, didn“t they have any other ideas. An child would have answered me that, if I had asked it "What do you think how the VOY should reach home?" I am really sorry, but I think the TNG finale was the best, because it let the space for sth. to come (and if it would have been just in our heads), with DS9, which was a great and very emotional ending, that was different; everything was being "closed", there was no space for anything to come, and I thought that was a shame. |

I agree. But I never really felt like it was the end of anything other than regular broadcasts. We knew that in their time things went on just as we saw them last until the movie came out. They never were headed for a conclusion. DS9 left us with a sense of conclusion since things would never be the same. Same with Voyager. But the final two parter of TNG was one hell of an adventure and rates right up there with Yesterday's Enterprise as one of my all time favorites for it's well crafted story and performances!

Although I went for Deep Space Nine in the best series thread I have to admit TNG had a great finale. A fitting end to a great show that made Trek live again. What You Leave Behind comes in a close second but All Good Things... had it all.
The poker scene where Picard joins the rest of the staff...beautiful...perfect ending. "The sky's the limit..." It so is....that really summed Trek up for me that line.
