Default Apple co-founder Steve Jobs Has died…

Very sad news indeed.
He was only 56 – the same age as myself.

The words Steve lived by…

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life,” Jobs said. “Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

2005 commencement address at Stanford University

I heard that speech. He was a great public speaker. What will Apple do without him? I think Android devices will take over.

That's just a bunch of New Age stuff anybody with half a brain could come up with.
I don't like these computer business CEOs. They like(d) to pretend to be everymen, be it via dressing in sneakers and jeans like Jobs or claiming to eat at McDonalds like Gates ... but behind their public image they are ordinary bosses for the employees and people with power for the citizens. They should be treated like this and not like some kind of half-gods.

I think since Jobs was the force behind many of the things that are now part of everyday life and speak ('i'-whatever is in the vernacular now) that his contribution should be undervalued for what he brought to the company and the tech world over the years that did benefit folks.

A lot of others were involved as well of course.

It's pretty sad news for his family nonetheless. Time will tell how Apple deals without him.
