The Venus Planet and Infection synopsis sound similar to a couple of episodes out of Voyager and Enterprise (Infected: Trip gets pregnant in the episode "Unexpected") and (The Venus Trap: What happens to Ensign Kim in episode "Favorite Son")

Interesting… The Captain's Yeoman…undoubtedly wishes she could serve him (the Captain) in more personal departments…

An interesting read. Is amazing to think how that pitch led eventually to the 5 series and 11 films.

It's very interesting indeed… especially to see how the vision eventually evolved.

Notice how much emphasis he placed on saving money? He obviously thought the only way he could sell it was if it would be cheap to produce.

TV shows always want to save money!

But it's a fascinating little read and you can see the genesis of later stories withing many of them.

Nice link.

It's a great find and a fascinating read that leads to a successful franchise. We can see what Gene went through to create Star Trek in 1964, the same year they shot the original pilot The Cage.
