Default Amok Time

I think this another great episode of the whole series, and also one of my other favorites. This is also the very first time we get to see Spock's world Vulcan. We get a introduction into the Vulcan culture as we only heard about but never seen. What do you think?

One of the best episodes of all time. Arguably it could be #1.

I think it's a very good episode for telling us a lot about the Vulcan race and many of their ways.

As an episode itself, I find it a little less dramatically involving but Spock's blunt words to T'Pring at the end always bring a smile to the face.

As does the clear and pure emotional outburst from Spock at the end.

The 2 things that really stood out to me were the fight music and Spocks emotional "leak." I really appreciated the look into the Vulcan way of life. If I recall, that was the first episode in which the Vulcan hand greeting makes its appearance. Leonard Nimoy tells a story about how he made it up on the spot but the actress playing T'Pau was unable to replicate it, so they had to hold her hand in that position below the camera and then she just brought it up into view of the shot when called upon.
"Stop it? I'm counting on it."
"But not because you threaten me. I'll pay you because... it's my pleasure."

One of the great TOS eps!

I would sit through this episode even if it weren't as great as it is, just to see Spock's smile. The cause is sufficient.
