Be aware that Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator work fine under Windows 8 and XP, but Acrobat 8 Pro won't install under Windows 8 for some reason.
Note: I'm running both versions of Windows under Parallels on Intel Mac with OSX 10.8.2.
