Why does it have to be a TWOK reboot? Why not a "Space Seed" reboot? This time frame is closer to TOS than TWOK, so maybe this is Abram's way of tinkering with the alternate timeline method again (familiar but not familiar).

Its not an exact reboot of TWOK if at all. Some of the names may be the same, but that's where it ends� this will be like nothing we've seen before.
