My understanding was that it was to be a theme update only. They may update the software as well, but vBulletin 4.x wasn't even out then, so I'm not sure what their plans are in that direction. Even if they did that, all the posts, ranks, and whatnot would be kept. Unless, of course, they decided to do a complete database wipe for some strange reason.

But again, I had these discussions years ago not long after completing the what-was-then new design. I'm not even sure if the same folks I talked to at Paramount are still there, in the same management positions, whatever.
