Well they have had a couple of years to think about the next movie, probably more, if they were thinking sequel when filming STXI. Lordy, I hope they don't try and re-do "Khan". Maybe in this universe they get a heads up from Spock prime.
Just stay off the BB and merely tractor it to a 'safe" place and isolate them from the 23rd century.
